Plenty to Celebrate on our 7th anniversary

Celebrate with us as we mark the 7th anniversary since Dr Baber Khan took over at Dartford Road Dental Centre.

We continue a legacy of care that has been part of the Dartford community since the 1980s.

Dartford Road Dental Centre has been at the heart of Oral Health Care in Dartford, for almost 40 years, which gives us plenty to celebrate!

From the family run practice, lead by Dr Patirick Donohue and Dr Amalia Ligouri, to the multi-discipline, progressive practice it is today, Dartford Road Dental Centre has come a long way in its journey to become Dartford’s premier Dental Practice.

Reflecting on the day of our 7th anniversary, we have seen many changes to the Dental landscape  within the Dartford, yet our long-established practice stands firm, with generations of families remaining loyal over the years.

We are so grateful that our patients trust us to provide the professional, personalised service they have come to expect from every visit.  We seek to exceed their expectations and as such, it means so much to us that we continue to grow through word of mouth recommendations and the stunning reviews shared by our patients on Google.

Makeovers all round

It’s not just smiles that get beautiful makeovers at Dartford Road Dental Centre!

Our practice has undergone some major renovations, since Dr Khan first collected the keys!  Gone are the colourful fish murals that adorned the walls of the waiting room, in their place an open, inviting space for patients to relax before their appointment.

The open plan space gives rise to the bright and airy treatment rooms, which have increased from 3 to 4 to accommodate our continued growth.  We have expanded our decontamination area, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness at every stage of of every visit.

A new era began in 2018

Dr Khan’s vision for Dartford Road Dental Centre, was one of an in-house treatment hub.  This relied on the assembling of a multi-disciplinary team of committed, Dental professionals to ensure first class treatment for our wonderful patients.  We seek to treat our patients on-site, minimising the need for external referrals and lengthy waiting lists which often, due to budgetary restraints, accompany NHS referrals.  Where treatment on-site is not possible, we first liaise with our sister practice, Crook Log Dental Practice in Bexleyheath.  For more information, check out their website https://www.crooklogdentalpractice.co.uk/ .

Over the last 7 years, we have worked tirelessly to uphold the core values of Dartford Road Dental Centre, including trust and quality of care; these core values compliment the integration of new ideas, technology and services offered, to support our progressive, dynamic practice.

For 2025, we are planning on expanding our team further, with increased in-house provision of specialist services; and we look forward to inviting new and existing patients to our exciting open days, with exclusive ‘on the day’ offers available to make treatments even more affordable!

Then Vs Now – Reflections on our 7th Anniversary

While our values remain at our core, the aesthetics of our practice have changed dramatically.  The decor of old has been replaced and re-branded to create a sleek, open space.

The previously, much loved fish murals are now gone, making way for on-trend decor.

The chairs of old, have been replaced with an inviting seating arrangement.

We remain committed to excellence at Dartford Road Dental Centre!

The practice may have altered from a physical perspective, but we are steadfast in our approach to patient care.  Patient comfort is at our core and as such new front of house area is welcoming, bright and comfortable.  

Our equipment upgrades:

• Intra-oral cameras are available in each treatment room, which enables us to share our view with our patients, to cement their understanding of required treatment or progression in their treatment
• I-tero scanners have replaced the need for messy impressions
• We have introduced a state of the art CBCT scanner to ensure accurate diagnostics and concise treatment planning

The Reception area, is now home to 2 work-stations, to enable our team to keep up with the volume of calls from our new and existing patients.

Our Reception team, Ellie, Cassie and Cameron will be ready and waiting to take those all important calls, while being on hand to support our patients from a front of house standpoint.

We have also increased our opening hours at the request of our patients.  We now offer Saturday and late evening appointments for patient convenience.

Along with the changes within the practice, we have have also seen many changes to our team in the years since Dr Khan took over.

Some of our nurses have returned to their home country to spend time with their families,  others deciding to move out of the area following the birth of their beautiful babies and others moving on to pastures new, to experience different areas of Dentistry – we really have seen it all and while we of course, miss those happy smiling faces, we are so grateful for the team we have today.

The dedication and drive to make each and every patient appointment memorable for all the right reasons, is second to none.  We will always be proud of the determination of our team to seek out further professional qualifications, to increase their knowledge and skill set for the benefit of our patients.
